I installed Docker on windows ran docker pull salehmir/jesse:python38 and got the following error:
failed to register layer: Error processing tar file(gzip: invalid checksum)
docker pull salehmir/jesse:python38
After that the next command in your installation guide for docker didn't work.
onFire Run the docker pull command again.
I'm not sure. It seems like an issue with docker itself rather than Jesse's image. Try googling the error
it worked on the 4th try 😉
I successfully created the container, but the mapping of home directories didn't work. Any idea why? What I read about bind mounts in the documentation didn't help me, but I have no experience using docker.
onFire I'm not good with Windows. Any docs for it has been by contributors. I'm guessing maybe the syntax for mapping directories is different on windows. @markus what do you think?
onFire Please post the exact command you use here. Maybe we can spot the mistake 👍️
I managed to get it up and running now without docker, thanks for your help anyway 🙂
onFire This way you get autocomplete in your IDE 😉
TayoG Looks like the image was corrupted during download. Try it again.
